2017 SgIS Award Ceremony

One hundred and seventeen students received the Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) at the 2017 SgIS Award Ceremony held on 4 August. The ceremony was graced by Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) Ong Ye Kung.

The SgIS was established as a unique talent development partnership between industries and the government to nurture the next generation of industry leaders. Through the SgIS, key industries are able to identify and recruit bright Singaporean students early, and build up their pipeline of talent, who have the potential to blossom into future leaders to lead the charge in our key economic sectors.

SgIS scholars will have access to valuable learning and development opportunities under the SgIS Scholars’ Development and Engagement Programme, including internships with the respective Sponsoring Organisations, strategic engagements with public and private sector leaders as well as a chance to forge strong ties and connection among the SgIS community.
