Makino Asia Pte Ltd was established in 1973 as Leblond Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore with the manufacturing activity confined to manufacturing of manual lathes for the US markets.  In the 1980s when Makino Milling Machine Company Limited of Japan took over the Leblond Asia Pte Ltd, Makino Asia Pte Ltd was born. 


Makino’s corporate philosophy of Quality First is embraced by all members of the company covering all aspects of production such as the quality of the products and services, business processes and business conduct with all stakeholders.


Despite the economic uncertainty, Makino Asia is on track to implement its plans for expansion and growth.  This includes building a new machining factory which spread over 86,000 sq ft. This new facility leverages on new technology tools such as automation, robotics and data analytics to achieve significant quality and productivity improvements.
